Nixon Library

In an effort to not dread Tyler's return to school, I have made it my mission to find new, fun, and interesting things to do with the kids on school weekends. We have done some unique things so far. Going to the Nixon Library to see the train display was one of those adventures.
One of the buildings was all about Africa. They kids enjoyed it because Dad served his mission there.
Hard at work completing their Africa worksheet. Don't let this picture fool you, I am sure it only lasted about 3.2 seconds but from the looks of it you would think I had studious children with amazing attention spans. If you have ever sat by us in church, you know that's not the case.We always rope one of the sets of Grandparents to come along with us on school weekends. We are so lucky to have them both nearby, otherwise I would for sure have lost my mind by now.
This is the house President Nixon was born in (really born inside that house, the tour guide kept repeating that and showed us the actual room and said something about the actual bed...kind of weird.) But DARLING house! I want one.
I asked Andy if he wanted to go into outer space someday and he said "yes, and I want Daddy to hold me." Since this trip he has been really interested in astronauts and space.
We ended the day by throwing money into a fountain and making extraordinary wishes that are sure to come true.
