Such a Fun Weekend!

We spent Memorial Weekend in Wrightwood. Tyler's parents live there and we own a few cabins (vacation and full time rentals) so we decided to take advantage of the cabin vacancy and stay in our Oriole House. The kids LOVED it and throughout the week have said "Oriole House!" over and over again. Obviously it was hit!
Loving Grandpa's wagon. Having fun at the Country Club. Is she not the coolest looking little girl?
Our kids are SO lucky to live near both sets of Grandparents and even luckier that they are friends and we all hang out together on occasion.

Enjoying breakfast on our front porch swing.

While Tyler enjoyed this view on a hike with his dad. If you want to see more on that, go here.
Having fun at the Nature Center. I sometimes worry that Ashlyn gets too much attention on my blog posts but the girl is just hilarious.

They can barely contain their excitement.
Coolest thing happened while we were there: 2 ladies with horses volunteered to give the kids a ride. SO AWESOME!

Such a fun weekend! Can't wait to do it again.

My thoughts about...

There are so many mixed emotions about this place. Some people hate it, some people love it. Who knew an amusement park could cause so much controversy. Now that I have been there, I can throw in my 2 cents which I'm sure that's all it is worth. So.......It is over priced FOR SURE! $66 per person which is also the kid price....CRAZY! And its only open until 5. Hello? And we all thought Disneyland was a rip off, at least Dland is open until Midnight sometimes. However, we were able to get discount tickets (thank you Union for my MIL's school district) and it allows us to go again. Worth it? Yes! We thought it was great and perfect for our kids. One tip for people that go with little kids, go to the left when you enter. The water park was INSANE. It was huge and had so much to do and if I had been there alone, I would for sure have lost a child or two.
Andy was a little interested in the Princess. He was so funny!
All the Lego stuff was cool.
Can you imagine putting this together...No thank you!

Daddy and Taylor waiting....

More from our crazy 3 amusement parks weekend

Our view from the Wyndham Resort in Oceanside.
Enjoying a little DQ.
And off to Sea World. Ashlyn LOVED holding the starfish.
Maybe she will be a marine biologist one day.
After the starfish abuse we noticed a sign that said, "Do not take them out of the water."
Oops!
This is as close as Andy wanted to get to any kind of water animal. I'm with him on this one.
What is the name of this ride?
I don't remember but it takes you high in the sky over Mission Bay.
The water was so tempting. I almost convinced Tyler to ditch Sea World and rent a boat.

Nice sweatshirt Tyler and gotta love the adult Heeleys. Yes, he "skated"around on those things all through the park. Sometimes I swear I have 4 kids! =)
Grandma needed a picture of Ashlyn next to the cow with matching glasses. Ashlyn always has some sort of accessory and glasses were the choice of the day and her Shamu lunch box.
Dolphin Night Show.
It was awesome and I really think all the shows should be like this one. I don't really need to know how much dolphins eat everyday, how they learn to do tricks, or watch the pretend mother fall into the water (spoiler alert for those of you who haven't seen it, she's a trainer).
Just let the cute dolphins jump around.
It's dark outside Ash, you can take off the glasses!

I LOVE this girl!

I have loved Taylor since before conception I think.
I knew when we were to get pregnant
I knew I was pregnant before the test confirmed it.
I knew we were going to have a baby girl we would name Taylor.
Our bond was instant.Taylor has a love for being outdoors that is infectious. Whether we are picnicking in the front yard, playing in the sand at the beach, hiking in the mountains, at the pool or the park, she is in heaven. She is creative and fun. She loves playing with friends and makes new friends
everywhere we go.
She is smart, pretty, and talented. I love to watch her dance and flip around in gymnastics. She has brought more joy to my life over the last 4 1/2 years than I could have ever imagined.

Overcast and cloudy couldn't stop them

from enjoying a day at the beach. The rest of us wore sweathirts and used towels as blankets. But these 3 kiddos were happy as can be!
