Ireland Yoda's

And then there was Andy. He started out o.k.

But he soon realized that he was not only competing against the other team for the ball but his own team as well. And that is just not that much fun...

He is #2. If you can't find him, look on the ground AWAY from the team.

Haha! Oh.my.goodness. It has been interesting with him. He actually is a pretty good player and does well in practice but he is just not really into the games. Oh well....next season?

Team USA Go Girls!

Taylor and Andy both played Spring Soccer this year.Taylor was on Team USA. Her Coach tried to get the girls to pick a name that flowed with USA like firecrackers, Lady Liberties....NOPE they wanted 'The Go Girls."

I was the Team Mom.
Taylor has been so fun to watch this season. I am actually sad to see it end.

She gets right in there, works hard, runs fast, and is loving every second of it.

She is now ALWAYS kicking something. At home, whatever is in front of her she kicks and when there is a soccer ball around, she starts playing.

It has been so fun to watch her grow and become a good little player.

I think we might have found "her thing".....

Off track beach trip

While Taylor was off track we took advantage of the non peak travel time and headed down to our timeshare at the beach. It was a weird little trip. We had 1 feverish child, 1 child that had to be taken home at midnight because of breathing issues (note to self ALWAYS bring the nebulizer while on vacation), and a quick afternoon home for soccer and Tyler's radio show. But you can't complain when you wake up each morning with a view of the ocean. We still managed to have fun!I think I love the beach more in the winter than in the summer. Every time we have gone over the last 6 months, we have had amazing weather and gorgeous views.

Its not exactly warm enough to lay out in....

but its fun to explore
and get your feet wet...or more than just your feet!

4 year pictures......

We attempted Andy and Ashlyn's 4 year pictures in February. It did not go smoothly. Mistake #1: picture location: our house. Mistake #2 time of shoot: end of the day. Andy was just not having it. Normally I get so irritated when pictures don't work out and my kids aren't cooperative...it is SO stressful! Wardrobe, hair, props...you just want it to go smoothly. You want to capture the perfect picture, with the perfect smiles, on their perfect little faces. haha....right! Well, now I am older and wiser and I just.don't.care! It's not a big deal! And I as look through these pictures, I just laugh. It shows their personalities and the stages they are in right now and isn't that the whole reason of yearly pictures??!! i think so.

I think it is best to view these pictures in sequence to get the full effect of the day....enjoy!

We started out o.k.
A little irritation begins to show.
Ashlyn was pretty happy the whole time.
Taylor wanted it to be her modeling photo shoot.
So serious!

And here we go...We wanted just 1 picture of the twins together...
nope!
This depicts my life over the last 4 years with these 2 and thankfully I have learned to just laugh.
At least he is not running away.
Don't they look like that old farmer couple picture??? They just need pitch forks.
"Kill me now MOM!"
"Fine, i will make a funny face for you, then will you leave me alone!"
I LOVE those eyes!
1 more try outside with the cute bench.
And that's it!
Thanks Rachelle for being so patient, giving piggy back rides through the backyard, and taking all my kids to your house after the shoot! Wow, I think I owe you a Large Diet Coke! xoxo!

Our Student of the Month!

Before going off track Taylor received the Student of the Month award! We are super proud of her. 1st grade has been an awesome year for her so far. She has grown up a lot and is excelling in so many areas.
She is at such a fun age. I love watching her talents and personality shine. I love being able to just talk to her. She is beautiful, smart, fun and a GREAT big sister!

The Disneyland Tradition

Grandma and Grandpa J have a fun tradition for the grand kids when they turn 4.....they get to go to Disneyland!!! Andy and Ashlyn were super excited to spend the day at one of their favorite places with 2 of their favorite people.

The rest of us joined them in the evening for some birthday celebration Disney style. We each got our own cake to decorate and eat.

Then we got to dance with Mickey and Minnie.

Such a fun day! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa J!
