Because Nothing Else Exciting is Happening...

One of my responsibilities that I really do not enjoy (that is putting it lightly) is LAUNDRY. It never gets ALL done because by the end of day you have the clothes and towels and whatever else that got dirty from the day so I never really feel like the chore gets accomplished. I am a list maker and I like to physically cross things off my list when they are completed and laundry just never gets crossed off. So I just don't like doing it, not to mention how much time it takes. I can usually get things into the washer and dryer but getting it folded and put away is a whole other story. I am much better with the kids stuff than our stuff (poor Tyler but don't feel too bad for him because almost all his stuff gets dry cleaned).
So Today was the Day. I decided to really get it ALL done. And I mean everything even the dumb stuff that has to be washed separately; Does washing separately mean putting all 10 shirts in together that have the same wash separately label? Hmmm, you probably don't want me doing your laundry.
So, here it what my pile looked like at 8:30 pm with 3 more loads to go.
And at 11:30 pm here it what I had accomplished. It helped that there were good shows on TV: Biggest Loser (I won't say who won in case some of you haven't seen it but I was happy with the outcome), American Idol (boring, sing some up beat songs for once), and Dancing with the Stars. Now the trick will be to get it all put away in the morning.

I remember those days! the job I hate the most is dusting! that is never ending too.

and if you come to my house at any given day you will see my house needs dusting. It's funny once it's dusty it doesn't seem to get more dusty each day, does that make sense.
good for you you got it done.
just wait till your children don't put thier clean clothes away and the next time you go to wash you see the "folded clothes " somehow are back in the laundry hamper... GRRRRRR

I'm so glad the laundry finally got done. Going to work naked was funny the first time, but recently it was just getting awkward.

As I am on the computer I have a huge basket of clean laundry behind me, one load of dirty peed sheets in the wash, and other clothes throughout the house that need to be put away. Not to mention the kitchen towels that I throw out in the garage laundry basket. Having a baby makes laundry another whole ordeal. Last night Hudson blasted out of his outfit and onto his blanket- so we hope those stains come out. I am actually getting to the point where I will just throw his outfit away if it is bad enough. Hope that I will be inspired by your hard work.

Jane is right...funny! But hey..way to go girl. Laundry isn't my least favorite, mine is cleaning the bathrooms!

Laundry is my least favorite chore, well that and cleaning the bathrooms. I am just like you with lists. I too have to physically cross off each chore. I thought of you today as I was crossing off my to do list. We sound very similar in our approach to housework. And lists. Nick hates my lists.

another 'ditto' from me! It's funny you posted this today...I had plans to blog about my hatred for laundry today too! My biggest problem right now is that the girls get clean clothes mixed with the dirty...so I always find myself washing stuff I know they didn't wear! :( My fail-proof plan is to win the lottery and have someone do it for me! :)

That was really funny Tyler!!

I am totally a list maker. I get so happy to cross things off. I even put the littlest things on there, like mail bills, just so I can mark it off.

The laundry is a never ending project as well as the dishes. The minute I have the kitchen clean my kids want to eat again!!
