13 weeks!

Yesterday at the gym, I noticed something. Can you guess what it is???? That's right, at 13 weeks I have a tummy (Yes, I am sticking it out a little but seriously should I really be showing that much????)! I decided baby #4 deserves some attention so here is to wearing fat clothes and desperately trying to stay out of maternity clothes as long as possible (how come those clothes immediately make you look frumpy and fat? Maybe because I don't spend big bucks on them so I am up for donations. I'll except only the best though, anything from Nordstrom's Maternity Shop will do). Here's to hoping April comes really fast (I am not the best pregnant person especially with 3 little ones running around causing chaos who have quickly figured out that mom has less energy than normal). Here's to #4 who I promise will have a name at some point and not be just referred to as #4 although numbers are easier than coming up with names, we are open to suggestions.
Here's to #4, I seriously can't wait to meet you!!!

Just 1.

On Friday it was confirmed that our family will be acquiring 1 new little munchkin in April. I have a few thoughts:

#1: There is so much room in there when there is only 1!
#2: Is the little thing lonely without a companion? Silly thought, YES, however Tyler and I both thought the same thing.
#3: This pregnancy, birth, and addition should seem like a walk in the park.

I am excited to have 1 baby! When Taylor was born, I was a new mom and had no clue what I was doing. Then the twins were born and we were immediately in survival mode. This time around, I got it down. I am excited to enjoy just 1, to take care of just 1, and spoil this 1 with the help of our other little people.

So far, the kids vote is 2-1 in favor of a girl. It would be nice to be able to tie that up however lots of pink would be wonderful too. Here's to the next 29 weeks or in my case less than 29 . I have never been 40 weeks pregnant and don't really desire to experience it now.

1st appointment

Today was my 1st doctor's appointment. We definitely were not going to wait until 20 weeks again to confirm 1 or 2 babies so they did a heartbeat check. We are pretty confident we already know the answer to whether or not we will be adding 2 little ones to our family again, however the results need to be confirmed with a ultrasound next week. I have a lot of mixed emotions for some reason. We have experienced a lot over the last 3 years. There have been many MANY times where mental and physical exhaustion have ruled our home. I remember telling people that my life is a constant cardio workout, I can eat whatever I want and still be a size 2 because I swear I am sweating ALL DAY LONG! However, having twins is such a unique experience. Watching Andy and Ashlyn interact is the highlight of my day. Being trusted with 2 little souls at the same time has been such a humbling, overwhelming, and awesome experience and I am so grateful for it.

And now it is time to focus on the future. Our due date was confirmed for April 23rd and I can't think of a better time to add to our family.

Go Team Madrid!

I don't know what happened to cutesy names like "Purple Butterflies" or "Pretty Princesses" but in our league, we are hard core and are named after Real soccer teams. Kind of a bummer if you ask me. But this cute little girl knows no different and is loving every minute of her 1st soccer experience.
So if you were to ask me if I wanted to run up and down a field in 90+ degree blistering heat, I would have to say NO. However, with red cheeks and lots of sweat Taylor runs up and down the field the entire time just hoping for a chance to kick the ball. At this age, the games are nothing more than a herd of little girls chasing after a ball. It doesn't matter if their team member has it or not, they just all want a turn to kick it. So far, everyone has kicked the ball in the right direction, that must be some sort of accomplishment, because I don't think we even keep score at this level. I just let Taylor believe that her team has won every time, is that bad?!
Taylor's 1 complaint that I hear after every quarter is, "I didn't get to kick the ball very much." She is learning though and she gets more aggressive each time.
I do think I could save myself some time and energy and my Saturdays by just arranging for a parents tunnel once a week because seriously that is their favorite part.

Yes, more beach pics but A Day Worth Documenting...

Oceanside
Warm Water
Gentle Waves
No Rip Current
= Teaching this girl, with goggles on tight, how to dive under the waves.
She now thinks she is a pro ocean swimmer. Andy and Ashlyn were even able to go out far and float over the waves but apparently the experience did not compare to this water hole.
I wonder what it is like to have a built in playmate 24-7?!

Awesome!

More Pregnancy thoughts

Pregnancy Thought #3: I am blown away by how exhausted I am as a result of a peanut sized thing growing inside me. I mean seriously, WHY? Of course I have come up with 3 possible explanations, their names are Taylor, Andy, and Ashlyn, Peanut's future siblings that I promise will smother it once it enters this world. That is a guarantee. Back to the exhaustion. It's bad. I can fall asleep at any given moment. Sitting on the couch at any time of day = Out! Sunday School = Out (I was recently called to be in the Primary Presidency so I will no longer be able to indulge in this guilty pleasure....bummer!) Pirates of the Caribbean = Out! Seriously, its bad. Maybe I'm low on iron, maybe it is because life is much more busy and chaotic this time around but whatever it is Little Peanut is making himself/herself known. So if you see me somewhere asleep, unless my kids are in danger, don't wake me up.....I'm tired!

Pregnancy Thought #4: I am so OVER eating! It is ridiculous. I am hungry, no starving, every hour. And we are talking, starving-if-I-don't-eat-something-now-I-am-going-to-start-vomiting-hunger. There is no middle ground, no warning that I am hungry until BAM! my kids are asking me if I am okay because vomit noises have begun. Once again Little Peanut I hear ya, loud and clear, you want the world to know you are coming. WE GOT IT!

Check out my husband's blog for a motivational video. My thinking hasn't always been aligned with this concept, I'm working on it, because I want us to finish the race.

Are you busy enough?

Last year Taylor informed me that in addition to dance and gymnastics, she wanted to play soccer too so she can be "a busy girl." Well her wish was granted last week when she had her 1st soccer practice. She loved it of course. It was fun to watch her because it is pretty obvious she takes dance. She was very dainty and graceful as she tried to master the skill of dribbling.
I was just waiting for her to bust out a leg hold. So Miss Taylor Marie, I think it is safe to say for the next 10 weeks, you will be a busy girl!
