Tyler and I returned home from New York late Tuesday night to find 3 sick kids. Ashlyn was the worst and was up when we arrived home. She was wheezing and having a hard time breathing. I spent the early morning hours in the ER. After a chest xray, she was diagnosed with pneumonia/asthma. A follow up visit with our doctor left us with instructions for breathing treatments every 4 hours. Today's follow up visit resulted in admittance to the hospital because the breathing treatments had not worked. Most recent diagnosis is RSV and possibly Asthma...minimum 3 day hospital stay. FUN!!!! What's worse is that because she has RSV they won't let her out of the hospital room and into their fun playroom as to minimize her exposure to other children so we have to keep her contained while doping her with medicine that makes her hyper (as if she wasn't spastic already). It is so much fun, I can't wait to go back tomorrow (my shift is over for the night because I haven't slept in 3 days and my voice is GONE).
So for those of you expecting something from me like a Christmas card, a present, or holiday treats, you may have to wait until after the holiday :)

You got my prayers! And I'm going to the temple tomorrow, so you will all have tons of prayers from Oakland as well. Good luck!
My prayers too!!! That stinks!!! Hopefully she will be able to get out before the holiday! I hope you get some sleep tonight!! If you need a sitter we can, even though we are far away (1 hour). Let us know. Poor little girl. I am surprised that ou had the energy to post tonight. Take care and keep us updated!
Let us know if we can help in any way--we are pretty close to you now.
I'm so sorry to hear about your baby in the hospital. Hannah was in the hospital earlier this year for a week and it was the most miserable week of my life. It's so hard to see your sick helpless children in that place. If you need anything I will be there in a heartbeat. We will keep her in our prayers.
Oh, poor bug! I hope she feels better soon. Prayers headed your way!
Poor Ashy! She does look precious in this picture though. Try to get some sleep!
She is in our prayers. I'm sorry you have to go through this. I do not have my kids in the hospital, but right now both of them are on treatments four times a day. that is 8 times that i have to sit a child down and then deal with the hyper active child after. I feel your pain. Paige is doing them fine, she's use to it, but Nash is another story. I pray for clear lungs for all these little bodies. And I'll be thinking of you when i'm up later at night. :(
ARGH! How do you get her to keep that on her face? So sorry!!! I just told my hubby to call yours and get the scoop on what you need...he will pass it on to the RS.
Poor thing! That's double hard because it's right in time for Christmas. Hope you get some rest.
What do you need? What can I do to help? Let me know...and I'll do it! I'll be praying for you in the meantime, but seriously...I'd love to help you with whatever you need!
That is terrible! We are so sorry!
Hang in there girl! I'll be praying for you guys.
I know all too well about giving breathing treatments. All of my kids have to do them. And now the baby is on them as well. He doesn't seem to be getting better on them either.
Thinking of you and your family!
I hear she came home today?! Hope she is on the up hill now- and you are getting some sleep! Hang in there- hopefully you will all be healthy for Christmas. We love you- youre in our prayers.
