A Positive Side to 1:00 Church.

You can go away for the weekend and still be back for church.

I told Tyler I wanted to go somewhere warm so we could swim and play in the pool. He called our timeshare and booked a room at one of our resorts in Indio. I don't think you can get any warmer in Southern California. I immediately looked up the weather forecast and noted a high of 102 degrees. OKAY. So I didn't have overly high expectations for the weekend but I was just happy to get out. Amazingly the resort was AWESOME! It is brand new, huge, and could not have been more perfect for our family. We were on the bottom floor and right outside our door was a park, splash pad, and pool area with a 1 foot deep wading pool. It was perfect.

Who needs a pool when you have sprinklers?!

A (relaxing?) ride on the lazy river.

Taylor was so in her element. She did amazing swimming all around the pool and diving for rings. I couldn't believe it. She was also Miss Social and greeted everyone that passed by and made tons of new friends. Despite being extremely exhausted and having eyes so red and puffy from swimming underwater with her eyes open, she never wanted to stop. She was in the pool most of the day and cried every time we made her get out. She is now all tan and cuter than ever!

My attempt at photography.

Hydrating.

A Sunday afternoon!

We had a great little weekend getaway. The kids were so worn out today that the twins were asleep by 7 and Taylor by 8. The perfect end to the weekend!

Oh how I love the pictures of your twins! Especially the one of them under the trampoline with popsicles, that's precious!
Where does Taylor take swim lessons? Trey is really struggling with swimming, I bet he would do a lot better with lessons.

For those who are interested and have been asking about Taylor's swim lessons. She took private lessons with a girl who comes to your pool ( in our case our neighbors). Within a week Taylor was swimming and by the end of the two weeks, she was at level 4. Sara has all the info for anyone interested.

What a fun weekend, Tyler always makes me so jealous when he tells me about all of your fun weekend trips. :) I also had no idea you had the same degree from the same school as me, I am curious as to your teachers. We'll have to talk.

Nice to hear you had a grand weekend too! Makes it hard to come home and get back to the every day stuff. Looks like the kids had a blast. Mine are sleeping right now because grandmas wore them out. Taylor has become the swimmer. Very nice!

so jealous! That is one of our favorite places. My parents have trendwest/wyndham timeshare...and we steal their bonus time every once in a while to go there. I am scared to go in the summer months due to the heat, but if you go there again, CALL US....we'll go together!
