I think Holidays are especially hard on the little ones. Their schedules are out of whack, we dress them up in funny clothes, and try to get them to smile over and over. Ashlyn was a true testament to my theory on Halloween. We were busy all day with dance, hair cuts, and decorating Halloween cookies at the Blumes so she only got bits and pieces of a nap while we were driving from place to place. This was the end result right before we had to leave.
And this was a few minutes later when I desperately wanted a picture of my cute Tinkerbell. This is so not like her. Usually when she sees the camera, she immediately smiles. I was a little disappointed at the time but I now love this picture.
And there she is with her second wind at the end of the night. Shortly after this picture was taken, she went right to sleep.

You are all adorable! I wish we were there to go trick or treating with you. Allie had a blast this year. Give your kids big loves from us- you are an awesome family!
I totally agree, holidays are hard on children. I love all the things you did with the kids. I feel like I want to do even more this year since it is Ryan's first for everything (even though he will not remember it)!
The picture of Ashlyn by the pumpkin is priceless! They are by far the cutest tinkerbell and peter pan I've seen!
