Christmas Morning!

Christmas was very nice and low key for us this year. The kids only really wanted 1 thing each....a jeep and American Girl dolls...DONE! And they were adamant about them for like 6 months. They "emailed" Santa which ones they wanted and he delivered.
Mrs. Claus wrote a special letter to Taylor and Ashlyn about how to take care of their new special dolls....so far so good!Chase loves his ball machine. He now knows where to put the balls and how to start it. He is such a smart little boy!Grandma and Grandpa J gave the girls a vanity full of makeup and hair things. They LOVE it! This vanity was in the Red House when we bought it and Grandpa J fixed it up cute for the girls with the cutest chairs.

It was a fun morning and we are happy we got to share it with Grandma and Grandpa J. Next year, I need to take more pictures.

Christmas Eve

I am ALMOST caught up.

It has become tradition to have Christmas Eve at our house with my dad and siblings. This was Trisha and Russ's California year and despite crazy weather they made it down in time for all the fun. Thank you Jet Blue for cheap same day flights.

My dad was the chef for the day and cooked up a great feast.
We did a little baking. And Gingerbread House making.
Opened presents. Or if you are the baby you just played with the wrapping paper after your siblings unwrapped your presents. The Grand kids were given Grandpa's yearly coin collection....and they all ended up with a bag full of money. We enjoyed some entertainment put on by the Little People. And attempted a Christmas jammie grand kid photo... 3 of the 5.
It was great to all be together.

Christmas with the Corrigans

The Sunday before Christmas we got together at my mom's to celebrate with my grandparents.
This is the best picture I could get of the kids all together in their Christmas outfits. Andy did have the same sweater as Chase but he was apparently done for the day.
Ashlyn is such a cute girl full of spunk and fun.... and at least once a day makes me crazy!
Happy Birthday to Great Grandpa!
He "needed" lots of help blowing out his candles.

Church Christmas Party

Christmas break started off with our church Christmas party which allowed our children to showcase their talents:
Chase had his acting debut as Baby Jesus. Sit there, look cute...Oscar worthy performance.
The other kids shook bells and sang Christmas songs at the same time. Such talent in our family! Our 3rd visit with Santa.Andy and Ashlyn were over the Santa thing and just wanted the candy cane. Luckily Santa is jolly and gave them their candy without requiring them to sit on his lap.

School Parties

Taylor's 1st grade class put on a Winter Concert before Christmas break. They sang and danced to a few cute songs. One of which was I'm gettin Nuttin for Christmas and they all made stinker faces as they sang "because I haven't been nuttin but bad." The faces were the highlight of the performance.
After Family Friday they did a fun book exchange.
I didn't get to help this year at the party but she had a great day.Andy and Ashlyn weren't left out of the school festivities. They got to go to preschool dressed in jammies and bring their pillows and blankets for a fun Christmas PJ Day.

Christmas continued: Disneyland

Christmas is just not complete without a trip to Disneyland.
Somehow we managed to squeeze in a quick trip before our passes were blocked.
We were only there a few hours, just long enough to see the parade...or sleep through it...
Stand in the 70 minute line for Small World (Mom did the waiting on this one and watched Disney's emergency services team in full action when a lady passed out in line...yes it was THAT long).Did a little shooting.Rode a ride or two.Watched but didn't listen to the firework show.Had a magical time at the "Happiest" Place of Earth.
