Our Hawaii Adventures

Surfing.
Yes I actually got up. I wish the waves in California were like those in Waikiki,
perfect for those of us a little nervous of the ocean.

Body Surfing.
Taylor absolutely LOVED the water. She would spend hours on the shoreline trying to catch waves and "ride" them in. She did not want to leave Hawaii.

Okay so rumor has it that this beach, an hour away from Waikiki, fills up with dolphins

at sunrise so we couldn't miss that. So we got up at 4:30AM and
drove to this place to find NO DOLPHINS.
It was beautiful though and Tyler and Russ had a blast spear fishing.

Playing in the sand.
One of Taylor's favorite things to do.

This is how exciting the aquarium was. Tyler and Taylor found some shade and laid down taking pictures of themselves making funny faces. There are some hilarious pictures but I love this one.

Parasailing.

We went with Tyler's parents, Russ and Trisha. The view from the boat and the air was amazing.

Honolulu Zoo.

If you go to Hawaii with kids this is definitely somewhere you should go. It is only $8 for the adults, it's not too big, and there are a lot of fun animals. Who knew you could find Giraffes and Elephants in Hawaii!

Shaved ice at the famous North Shore place. No offense to all the people that love this stuff but I thought it was a little much with ice cream at the bottom and Tyler had some kind of Chinese beans put it in it. I couldn't figure it out...is it ice cream, is it a snow cone, what's going on with this stuff? It was so sweet I could only stomach one bite. I know I'm boring but I think I prefer just a regular snow cone.

So that is a short glimpse of our trip. I have pictures of the babies in the water but can't get them to work right now but they LOVED the water and Ashlyn the little weirdo liked the taste. Nasty! Ashlyn also learned to stand alone on this trip and wave hello.

We had a lot of fun and are so grateful for all the help with the kids so Tyler and I could have some fun.

Home Sweet Home

We are back from Hawaii! We had a great time and got to do a lot of fun things but traveling with babies is a little challenging so it is nice to be home in our own bed, own rooms (all 5 of us were in one room) and all the toys. Initially, Taylor did not want to leave Hawaii but when we returned home at 11:45 pm last night, she was so excited to see all her things. I convinced her to get in bed by letting her sleep with her Cinderella dress (not on but next to her). We had a lot of fun and are grateful for everyone's help on the trip. I will post pictures after I get them all together. Now we are getting ready to move HOPEFULLY within the next couple weeks. We have the down payment and the credit issue got resolved so we are READY and are excited to join our friends on Old Peak Lane. YEA!

Happy Thanksgiving!

So we have decided that Thanksgiving Hawaiian style is pretty darn good. All week the weather has just been okay with clouds, wind, and some rain but today was AWESOME! It was warm and there was not a cloud in sight. So we had a wonderful day at the beach (while the Drapers enjoy their snow) and now we are anxiously awaiting our Thanksgiving feast.
Happy Thanksgiving!

ALOHA!

Well, after HOURS of packing we are almost ready to leave tomorrow for 8 days in Waikiki. We thought this year we would try Thanksgiving Hawaiian style and all my family jumped on board so we will be going with my siblings and their significant others, my mom and her husband, and Tyler's parents. My family hasn't done a family vacation in at least 15 years so this is a big deal for us. We went in June for a Jorgenson Family Reunion and we had a blast. I am little more nervous about the plane ride this time with 2 mobile babies and I was too nervous to buy medicine to make them sleep so we will just see how it goes. I may change my mind for the flight back. I did however take Rachel's advice for Taylor and bought her a couple Princess things from the dollar section in Target and wrapped them up as presents to give out as rewards for good behavior. She is so excited to go and got really excited today when I reminded her that Aunt Trisha is going to be there. Can't wait to see everyone!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Dads Still Play - Video by Tyler

I made this video tonight on a program that I didn't know I had on this computer. I am pretty sure I'll be using this more. Enjoy the show! - Tyler

Our Birthday Girl!

This week is Taylor's 3rd Birthday and we had her party yesterday at Wild Kingdom. For those of you who are not familiar with the place, it is a large building filled with various inflatables. We had a great turnout (everyone invited came) and it was so fun and was a really great day. One nice bonus was that they take care of everything for you so all we had to do was bring food...so nice!
This is all the kids (minus 2) with the b-day girl turned around. This was the 3rd time I took this picture because we had to keep adding babies so Taylor was done and ready to play some more.

Even the babies had fun. Andy especially loved it.

Isn't she the most precious thing?! I just can't get enough of her pretty face and her recently discovered ghetto bootie. I am telling you she has one. She has the shortest legs and a little bum that totally sticks out. It is so cute.

And I think the dads had just as much fun as the kids. Craig had various challenges for Tyler to do, it was funny.

I have so many more pictures and lots of cute ones of all the kids so I will email all you moms pictures of your kiddos. Thanks to everyone for coming and having so much fun with us. Taylor can't get enough of all her presents. She's in heaven!
