1/1/11

I love traditions. I have so many traditions. I am always trying to think of new traditions. If something is fun...it becomes tradition. Our New Year's Day tradition is one of my favorites.... Beach with the Blumes. We have done it for 4 years now and each time it is The. Most. Beautiful Day.
While we waited for the Blumes we stopped at Crescent Bay. It was probably one of the most amazing days I have ever experienced on the So Cal coast.
The tide was out so we went exploring on the rocks. And saw so many huge and colorful sea stars and other sea urchins...amazing!
Who needs Sea World?!

Back to Balboa for the Annual New Year's Day sunset picture.

Last year Sara and I were pregnant with these two. They are such fun additions to the madness.

Happy 6th Birthday Paige!

The girls did the trampoline for the 1st time.

Taylor was nervous. She had the funniest laugh...nervous and excited all rolled into 1.
Ashlyn had to be like the big girls and do it too.
Such an awesome day!

Ringing in 2011

This year we celebrated New Year's Eve with our favorite Zellmann family. We "Just Danced 2" on the Wii and got schooled by Mike. Its okay though because I have been practicing and will soon demand a rematch in which I will be crowned The Dance Champ.
The kids even got into it. I think they were better than we were.
We rang in 2011 with New York at 9:00pm....We are mad party animals.

It wouldn't be an Andy, Mike, Tyler get together without releasing their inner Pyro.

The kids were a great audience as the firework enthusiasts did their thing. 2011 we are ready for you...just be kind!

Off to the Beach

Before Russ and Trisha headed back to snowy weather, we went to our favorite place.

And it was beautiful as usual.

Christmas at the Parkers

After our Christmas morning we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa P's for more holiday fun. Santa came to their house too.

Kids were SUPER excited!

Mass chaos ensued!

We had a Ping Pong tournament!

And an ornament scavenger hunt at night in the backyard.

Taylor sure LOVES this boy!

And the winner of the tournament was...My MAN!

Thanks to Mom and Reid for a great and memorable Christmas!
